Fabien Cousinié is a former professional downhill mountain bike racer, manager of the UR NS Bikes team and head of the agency Creatur Productions.
Fabien is what I call a jack-of-all-trades genius.
The rather annoying kind of guy who is at ease on just about any kind of machine and able to get out of any kind of situation.
A former pro downhill racer, he set up his own team and brought on board some iconic riders such as Florent Payet, Mickaël Pascal, Mick and Tracey Hannah, and more recently Alexandre Fayolle.
And all these names have one thing in common: Fabien gave them a chance, or a second chance, by bringing them into his team — like Tracey Hannah, who won on her first World Cup appearance after 5 years away from racing, and whom Fabien recruited while she was working in a sand mine.
Fabien has lived through plenty of stories like this one, and in this interview we look back at some of them and at what mattered most to Fabien in his career as a rider and manager.
