Chris King launches the Titanium Dropset headset

Chris King components are renowned for their manufacturing precision, durability and premium price. The Limited Edition Titanium DropSet perfectly illustrates all three qualities in a single product.

With a matte finish, this headset is made almost entirely of titanium – even the top cap bolt is titanium.

The bearings, for their part, are made in-house from stainless steel. The DropSet style is designed for frames with bearing seats integrated into the head tube, commonly known as “Integrated System” or “IS” bearings.

Chris King points out that IS-type headsets require extremely precise machining tolerances, a speciality of the brand, to prevent the bearings from moving under load.

The GripLock top ring allows headset preload to be adjusted independently of the steerer tube.
